OPPORTUNITIES FOR RECENT ALUMNI
Recent alumni support the School and the global alumni community by volunteering in a wide range of important roles, from reunion planning to fundraising to writing Class Notes, as described below. If you are interested in building a lifelong, substantive, and meaningful relationship with HBS, click on the Volunteer Now button and a staff member will follow up shortly with more details.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Career & Professional Development
Volunteer your time and experience to guide students with career-related industry questions and participate in CPD activities and exercises. This could include serving as a Career Team Leader where you would guide a group of four RCs through Career Teams exercises. To be a Career Team Leader, an alumna/us must have participated in or led Career Teams as a student and be available in Boston on the date in September when the exercises are held.
Class Communications
Help your class stay connected through Class Notes in the HBS Alumni Bulletin. As Class or Section Secretary, collect news and photos from your classmates and submit your notes four times a year to include in the Bulletin, which also features articles on business topics, alumni endeavors, faculty research, and campus life.
Event Liaison
Help with regional event coordination. Serve on event host committees to determine event venues and logistics and to encourage attendance; serve as point of contact for new alumni in your city.
MBA Admissions
Partner with the Admissions team to support efforts with potential applicants, applicants, and admitted students, so that prospective students may experience firsthand the strength and warmth of our alumni community as they think about which business school is right for them. There are various one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities.
One-Year Reunion
One-Year Reunion includes time to reconnect, hear from faculty, and socialize, through section gatherings, academic sessions, an all-class party, and more. Serve in any one of a variety of volunteer roles including social event planning, programming content oversight, social media outreach, and fundraising.
Volunteer Locally Through an HBS Club or Association
HBS Clubs and Associations work to support local businesses and nonprofits through programs like Community Partners and Startup Partners and support the local region more broadly through other programs and activities. Reach out to an HBS club to learn more about what is happening in your region.
To express interest in any of these volunteer opportunities, click on the Volunteer Now button above. An HBS staff member will follow up with you.
