What are Alumni Career Guides?
These are alumni who are willing to connect with current students to share industry knowledge and career advice. Career Guides agree to respond to a student's request for information within five business days.
Why be an Alumni Career Guide?
Serving as an Alumni Career Guide is a great opportunity to interact with students and reconnect with HBS. Additionally, you can add "HBS Career Guide" to LinkedIn or your resume to indicate that you are actively helping to expand knowledge of your industry.
Alumni Career Guide Responsibilities
- Update your Alumni Directory Profile
- Respond to student requests for a phone conversation within five business days.
- If you often receive more than five requests a week, a staff member in Career & Professional Development or Alumni Relations will work with you to manage the volume by utilizing available technology platforms for easier interaction and/or by redirecting some requests to other Career Guides.
