The Digital Transformation Of Health Care
The digital revolution has dramatically improved health care delivery and discovery in recent years. Artificial intelligence is enhancing diagnostic machines and enabling wearable medical devices to collect critical data. Automation is streamlining workflows and lowering costs, while Bluetooth is making it possible for health care officials to better track and curtail the spread of illnesses. And telemedicine is helping to transform the quality, accessibility, and affordability of health care.
Over this past year, the pandemic has accelerated the evolution of and increased the focus on innovation in health care. HBS faculty, through their research and teaching, are examining all aspects of this digital ecosystem and sharing their findings with students and practitioners around the world.
Annual giving to the HBS Fund plays a vital role in supporting this work, thus ensuring that today’s leaders have the knowledge and insight needed to tackle critical issues facing business and society—including those pertaining to our health and well-being.
