Cofounder and CEO, Remento
Concept: Remento helps families collect and preserve the stories of loved ones. An annual subscription allows users to upload photos and select prompts for the storyteller to record a response on a weekly basis. Remento’s AI technology turns those recordings into stories that can be published as a book.
The Why: Greene treasures the home movies he has of his father, who died when Greene was 10 years old. When Greene’s mother was diagnosed with cancer, he wanted to preserve as many of her stories as possible.
Heard:
“When people create something for the future, and in the process come to discover someone they love in a completely different way, it’s incredibly fulfilling.”
Status Update: Founded in February 2021, Remento expects to expand its offerings from books (now including baby books) to other products, like automatically generated short movies. Remento closed its first round of fundraising in July 2021; future rounds will focus on product innovation and distribution.
