When the Bulletin included Faye Iosotaluno (MBA 2008) in its December issue, the longtime consumer tech executive was COO of Tinder. On January 9, the company announced Iosotaluno would become Tinder CEO.
“It’s hard to overstate the impact Tinder has had on relationships and dating as we know them today,” Iosotaluno said in a statement. Iosotaluno joined Match Group, Tinder’s parent company, in 2017, serving most recently as the group’s chief strategy officer. “I’m passionate about connecting people with new technologies that help enable more meaningful lives, experiences, and relationships, and believe in the power of this team to take Tinder to its next phase of growth,” she added.
Shares in Match Group rose on news of Iosotaluno’s appointment, as reported by TechCrunch. “Faye’s understanding of the dating category is unparalleled and coupled together with her remarkable leadership capabilities, I know Tinder will continue to lead the category,” said Bernard Kim, Match Group CEO.
