David M. Rubenstein, cofounder and managing director of The Carlyle Group, has made a gift of $5 million to HBS to support global programs for MBA students. “To get a worthwhile business education today, you need to spend part of that time involved in activities overseas,” stated Rubenstein, who has ties to the School through his wife, Alice Rogoff Rubenstein (MBA ’78), and through service on the Board of Dean’s Advisors.
Said Dean Nitin Nohria, “This extremely generous and important gift will help provide our students with invaluable opportunities for learning what is required of leaders in today’s global environment.”
