Cofounder and CEO, Trove Health
2022–2023 Blavatnik Fellow
Concept: Trove is building the world’s largest longitudinal database of patients and their health information across geographies and medical specialties. Users receive free access to their data and control how it is shared.
The Why: Patient data is often fragmented across electronic medical record systems, providers, and categories. But recent changes to the laws governing medical records have made it easier for patients to obtain, unify, and share their health care information digitally, provided they have access to the right technology and tools.
Heard: “My brother has a chronic neurological condition and has spent decades navigating the complexity and challenges of the health care system,” says Ross.
“It’s hard to imagine a more meaningful career than health care entrepreneurship.”
Status Update: With seven employees, Trove Health has received the support of early-stage investors, as well as resources and mentorship through Harvard’s Blavatnik Fellowship Program. The company currently has a minimum viable product of its patient database and is partnering with patient advocacy groups and foundations to drive adoption of its platform.
