Michael Trejo Brings Business Back to the Valley of the Sun
A recent article in Hispanic Executive profiles Michael Trejo (MBA 2013), who left a career in finance to return to his native Arizona and help grow a local business.
As the article notes, his return was inevitable. “I always planned to leave the state for ten years to gain experience that I could bring back to my community,” he explained to the magazine. “It was time to come home.”
Trejo is now president and CEO of Standard Printing Company, a commercial trade printer located in an industrial Hispanic neighborhood of Phoenix. The initiatives Trejo is leading at the company include adding capacity for growth, addressing sustainability and environmental impact, and reinvesting in the local community. “We’re right where we want to be as a business,” Trejo told the magazine. “We’re growing, and we want people and communities to grow along with us.”
