Progress Update on Racial Equity Plan
Topics: News-School NewsDemographics-DiversitySociety-Social IssuesThis week, HBS offered a progress update on its Racial Equity Plan—a seven-part action plan developed by the Dean’s Anti-Racism Task Force and released in September.
In the past three months, the School’s progress has included launching a search for a Chief Diversity Equity and Inclusion Officer; updating future MBA financial aid evaluations to consider a student’s socioeconomic background; and the creation of a new, custom multi-year Executive Education program to develop underrepresented/unrecognized minority leaders.
The School’s leaders have been heartened by alumni interest in advancing the HBS Racial Equity Plan and have shared that there is now an option to designate HBS Fund gifts to the School’s Diversity and Equity efforts.
