“Club members enjoyed hearing about the principal-agent problem, cash flow measures signaling value, and investor capitalism,” says Boris Tsimerinov (PLDA 16, 2017), who co-chaired the event with Anu Dhir (GMP 24, 2018). “Professor Desai’s students and alumni who heard him for the first time pointed out his expert skill at communicating complex subjects in a simple and highly accessible way.”
A question and answer session followed the November 11 talk, and the audience explored the topic of changes investor capitalism has brought into society. It also touched upon Desai’s earlier book, The Wisdom of Finance: Discovering Humanity in the World of Risk and Return.

We were delighted to have fellow GMPers travel from Switzerland, Italy, France, and Germany to spend the evening with him as well.”
