Blue skies and sunshine welcomed over 2,000 alumni and guests to fall reunions, where the many offerings included a case discussion of “Wynton Marsalis & Jazz at Lincoln Center” with Professor Rohit Deshpandé, a tour of the Harvard i-lab with managing director Jodi Goldstein (MBA 1996), and a full agenda of class dinners and social events.

HBX is expanding its online offerings: Professor Mihir Desai’s six-week Leading with Finance for business leaders debuted this fall, and Professor Michael Wheeler’s new negotiation course for midcareer professionals and graduates of HBX CORe is planned for early next year.

For “West Meets East: A Conversation on Leadership,” Jonathan Coslet (MBA 1991), chief investment officer at TPG Capital, spoke to author and yogi mystic Sadhguru. “Instead of tweaking your desire, tweak your competence,” said Sadhguru on the topic of ambition. “If your competence is tweaked, you will mentally go where you are fit to go.”

When the Forbes Under 30 Summit descended on Boston in October, the magazine tapped HBS to host its “Create” stage. Among the speakers on idea generation and execution: Dean Nitin Nohria, Hamilton star Okieriete Onaodowan, and actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba, who was interviewed by Professor Youngme Moon.
