HourlyNerd Rebrands as an Enterprise Talent Platform
HourlyNerd, the red-hot freelance business-talent consultancy launched at HBS by classmates Rob Biederman, Patrick Petitti, and Peter Maglathlin (all MBA 2014), has unveiled a new identity and name, Catalant—“a combination of catalyst, brilliant, and talent [that] reflects the company’s leading role in redefining how enterprises access top talent to solve critical challenges,” according to a press release. The news follows the firm having received $22 million Series C funding earlier this month from General Catalyst Partners.
According to the release posted on the website SpendMatters.com, Catalant is now a platform-based solution that “allows global organizations to centralize the process of sourcing independent talent by giving business leaders direct and immediate access to Catalant’s network of more than 27,000 experts.”
“We are rapidly defining a new market category,” explained co-CEO Petitti. “For the first time, businesses are using a unified (internal, external, knowledge) approach to solve problems and capitalize on opportunities. With Catalant, they can access the exact expertise or knowledge needed in real-time.”
While Catalant will focus on large enterprise clients, HourlyNerd will live on as the company’s solution source for small businesses, operating under the name HourlyNerd powered by Catalant.
