A new portrait of former Dean John H. McArthur was unveiled at a ceremony in mid-September in Baker Library. McArthur, the School's seventh dean, served from 1980 until 1995. He was joined by his wife, Natty, and several close friends and family members at the event, which was followed by a reception hosted by Dean Kim B. Clark. Painted by George Augusta, the portrait hangs in a newly created "Deans' Gallery" in the large stairwell leading up to the Reading Room in Baker Library. A collection of portraits of past deans is now permanently displayed in this area.
