Serving with Purpose and Pride
Ashley Garrett and Alan K. Jones (both MBA 1987)
As the School’s chief fundraising volunteers for the HBS Fund for Leadership and Innovation, Ashley Garrett and Alan Jones (both MBA 1987) are eager to share the case for alumni annual giving and its immediate impact and critical role in driving innovation and new initiatives.
With great enthusiasm we begin our term as chairs of the HBS Fund for Leadership and Innovation. It is a privilege to serve in this capacity—supporting The Harvard Business School Campaign and connecting with the many alumni and friends who believe wholeheartedly, as we do, in the transformational HBS experience.
This is an exciting time for us to assume the role of HBS Fund Chairs. In fiscal year 2015, the HBS Fund for Leadership and Innovation achieved record-breaking success, collecting more than $35.5 million, which was used immediately to drive innovation and advance the School’s highest priorities. Annual gifts of all sizes enable HBS to remain at the forefront of business education, and it is particularly gratifying to see how donors have been inspired by the Campaign to increase their yearly gifts, recognizing the multiplier effect that their contributions have on the work of the School.
Building on this momentum, we want to make a difference by expanding the corps of HBS volunteers. The leadership they provide is vital to the Campaign’s success, to fostering connections among alumni, and to extending the School’s impact. They have created an invaluable sense of community that helps to make HBS great.
We are honored to be able to support the School, which has given so much to us. We are grateful to all of you who donate your time and provide funding to further the HBS mission.
