In his first experience as a HBS volunteer, serving as a major gifts committee member for his 10th Reunion Campaign, DJ Haley felt strongly about establishing a fellowship fund to support HBS students with a military service background— – and so did 11 of his classmates. Haley, a former US Navy SEAL and currently a managing director at Ziff Brothers Investments, led an effort that raised $335,000 toward the fund that carries the name he believes says it all, the MBA Class of 2001 National Defense Fellowship Fund.
