HBS entrepreneurs who want to remain plugged into the Harvard network after graduation have a new home on campus. The Launch Lab—located directly across from the i-lab on Western Avenue—is now open to startups with recent alumni from any Harvard school, offering teams working space in close proximity to the University community at very competitive rates. Here, a few of the HBS alums who have returned to Allston to launch their businesses.

  • SplitNGo
    Steve Gorodetskiy (MBA 2014)

Describe your company in fewer than 140 characters: Don’t wait for your bill at the restaurant. Just pull out your phone, see your bill, and pay in seconds with SplitNGo. No app required.

When your workday ends: When it finally gets slow at our pilot restaurant, and we get to head home after busing tables and talking to customers all night.

Your morning routine: Grab a tea and chocolate at the Launch Lab’s common area, and catch up with other teams passing through.

  • Archway Health Advisors
    David Terry (MBA 1998)

Describe your company in fewer than 140 characters: The mission of Archway Health Advisors is to fix health care through payment reform.

Your go-to snack: Almonds and Trader Joe’s apricots.

Life at the Launch Lab in one word: Vibrant.

Your morning routine: My best mornings start with CrossFit at 6, then I drop off my kids at school at 8:20 and head to Launch. Plus, lots of coffee.

What your team’s animal mascot would be: Murphy. He’s a Greater Swiss Mountain dog.

  • LifeGuides.me
    Phillip Strazzulla (MBA 2014)

Describe your company in fewer than 140 characters: LifeGuides.me helps millennials navigate their careers through free online guides, and allows companies a new way to engage job candidates.

Life at the Launch Lab in one word: Community.

When your workday ends: I’m starting a company, I’m not sure it does.

What your team’s animal mascot would be: An orca whale.
