The HBS Alumni Association was formally founded on May 15, 1914, its constitution declaring the group's intention to "advance the interests and to increase the usefulness of the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and to promote business education in general." Pictured above: one of the association's early gatherings in Swampscott, Massachusetts, in June 1922—when a three-piece suit was presumably preferred beachwear.
