Shoshanah Cohen (MBA '92)
A Class Notes correspondent for ten years and counting, Shoshanah (Shosh) Cohen
came to her 10th Reunion first and foremost to find out what everyone's been up
to. Second was for an event that she helped to organize, a panel discussion on work/life
balance that included tips and techniques for achieving it.
Upon graduation, Cohen joined Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath (PRTM), a management
consulting firm in Mountain View, California, that specializes in operations work for
technology-driven companies. It took her a few years to realize that all I was doing was
my job — I was actively involved with little else. So Cohen, now a PRTM director,
stepped up her activities outside the office, committing herself to pro bono projects and
membership work with the HBS Association of Northern California. Gearing down a bit at work and
broadening her horizons brought balance.
Now my hours away from work are all about my family, said Cohen — she and her
husband, Collin Cohen (MBA '90), are parents to Meredith (3) and Riley (1 ½). But
there's a hobby I picked up at HBS that I still make time for: ice hockey.
