Across HBS Generations
Every autumn, more than 1,000 alumni and their guests visit HBS for class reunions. They return for the academic and social events, of course, and to reconnect with classmates. But there is another powerful pull as well something to do with nostalgia and going back to the source, to the place from which they first gathered the knowledge and momentum to launch their careers.
Each of these alumni returns with a commemorative gift his or her unique story of carving out a place in the world. Here, we present profiles from each of this falls five reunion classes (1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, and 1979), plus the 1908 Society (comprising all MBA classes that are sixty years or more past their graduation date). In recalling their days at the School and their lives since then, these individuals tell stories that will not only resonate with their classmates, but will provide all HBS graduates with a glimpse of the hopes, achievements, and life experiences of alumni from several generations.
