Fantastic Photos
The photo galleries from Iraq and Afghanistan on the Bulletin Web site are fantastic. They portray both the beauty and the ugliness of these countries and put a familiar face on those who serve us during this war.
Thank you to the students and alumni for sharing part of their experience with us and for their dedicated service to our country.

More to the Story
Your March article about Iraq states that the new mission of U.S. and coalition troops is rebuilding a country devastated by decades of warfare, internal repression, and international isolation. What it fails to mention is the devastation and loss of life of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis caused by U.S.-enforced UN sanctions during the 1990s. The UN estimates that 1 million Iraqis, mostly children, have died under the sanctions.
It would appear that we need to be more up front about our own governments role and to some extent the UNs in this, and not blame it all on Iraq.

Disappointed
I was impressed by the extensive involvement of HBS students and alumni in Iraq described in the March issue article on rebuilding Iraq. However, I was disappointed that the article did not include a photograph of President Bush delivering a fake turkey to the troops on Thanksgiving or in his flyboy suit in front of the grand Mission Accomplished banner. Perhaps these images are being saved for future cases in marketing or, better yet, leadership and ethics.

Talented Alumni
The March issue articles Café Society, Bad Boys Good Man, New Horizons for Iraq, and Toy Story are excellent and demonstrate the spectrum of talent and success that has been nourished by the Harvard Business School experience.
