Recognizing Volunteers and Donors
International Reach
Class of 1992, Section G
For its 20th Reunion, the
Class of 1992 reached 74 percent participation, surpassing the previous
record by 4 percentage points and raising more than $7 million. Among the fundraising volunteers responsible for this achievement were London-based Section G members Carlo Sant Albano, Jackie Donnelly Russell, and Loraine von Moltke. Reaching out to sectionmates near and far, the trio proved that in today's global society, geography does not hinder the strong bonds forged at HBS.
Alice Au (MBA 1986)
Members of the Class of 1986 from around the globe contributed more than $13
million to HBS in honor of its 25th Reunion. Hong Kong–based Alice Au, an international cochair for the class, helped garner support by reaching out to alumni in the region. A senior executive with the international search firm Spencer Stuart, Au describes her feelings about HBS as "eternally motivated." Clearly, her attitude is contagious.
Donor Spotlight
Jeanette Montgomery Evert (OPM 13, 1988) and Herbert P. Evert (MBA 1958)
Consistent giving has an important impact, and the School is particularly grateful to alumni who invest
annually in HBS leadership and innovation through the Dean's Fund. Jeanette and Herb Evert have demonstrated their passion for the mission of HBS by making significant contributions for more than 34 consecutive years. They have also been generous with their time and expertise. Jeanette, who has just completed a three-year term on the HBS Alumni Board, has also served as both chair and president of the HBS Club of Toronto and board member
of the Harvard Club of Naples, Florida, where she and Herb met.
Oliver A. Evans (MBA 2004)
Adding his name to the list of those who regularly support the Dean's Fund is Oliver Evans, who has made a gift every year since he graduated. Evans, a managing partner with the fund management firm Dorsal Capital in Redwood City, California, directs his gifts to the Dean's Fund in order to help move innovative ideas from the drawing board into practice.
Thank You!
The annual HBS Contributors Report, highlighting the impact of giving on the work of the School, was mailed in November to all fiscal year 2012 donors.
