Wang Papers to HBS
Topics: Education-Schools, Libraries, MuseumsEducation-Schools, Libraries, MuseumsInformation-ArchivesImportant corporate records from Wang Laboratories and personal papers of the company's late founder and CEO, Dr. An Wang, were recently donated by his family to the Baker Library Historical Collections at HBS.
Computer memory technology invented by Dr. Wang helped drive the industry during its nascent days in the 1970s. At its peak in the 1980s, Massachusetts-based Wang Laboratories had 23,000 employees and earned annual revenues of $2 billion.
Dr. Wang died in 1990 at the age of 70.
