- Why did the School change when I come back for reunion?
-
HBS has always iterated and evolved its model for reunions—thoughtfully curating the content offered and continuously improving how we can best serve our alumni—as we understand more about our alumni's needs and desires, and especially incorporating the many lessons we learned through the pandemic.
This shift further allows the School to provide the returning classes with access to the full HBS campus and all its facilities, as students will not be in session in June.

- Reunion Giving
-
Thank you for your interest. There are many ways to make a gift to HBS in honor of your reunion. You can give online at give.hbs.edu or go to Ways to Give Today to learn about other options. Any gift you make during your class's Reunion Gift Campaign will be credited automatically to that effort.
We encourage alumni to give annually, including during reunion years, to the HBS Fund, which plays an essential role in sustaining the School 's core activities and fueling new ideas and initiatives. If you would like to make a special commitment to HBS in honor of your reunion, please consider becoming a member of the HBS Fund Investors Society. - Who should I contact if I have questions or concerns?
-
Please contact almamater@hsa.net with any questions or concerns regarding The Class Store and/or your order.

-
The Class Store is offered instead of "class gifts" to provide alumni commemorating a reunion year, whether attending or not, with a more inclusive experience and a broader selection of items.
- Will we receive a gift from the School at reunions?
-
Yes! Alumni who attend reunions receive reusable compact totes and water bottles.
- Climate Change & Sustainability
-
- How is Harvard raising awareness about climate change and sustainability, and how is HBS engaging in this critical work?
-
As President Bacow wrote in his September 9th letter to the Harvard community: "Climate change is the most consequential threat facing humanity…We must act now as citizens, as scholars, and as an institution to address this crisis on as many fronts as we have at our disposal."
To that end, HBS continues to set and meet goals to reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions, waste, energy consumption, etc., toward a healthier and more inclusive and sustainable community. The School is also deeply committed to the Harvard Sustainability Plan and Climate Action Plan, which pledge to achieve a fossil fuel-free future.
- What measures for waste and emissions reduction will be incorporated for Reunions?
-
- Donate leftover food through Food for Free, an organization that will match our donations to groups in need.
- Serve food on reusable china whenever possible. Utilize compostable to-go ware when china is not feasible.
- Provide waste sorting stations that allow guests to divert their waste into the Compost, which is anaerobically digested, or Recycle Streams.
- Select menu options with lower Greenhouse Gas Emissions in mind. HBS will include more plant-forward menu options to help reduce overall emissions and provide healthier food alternatives. Please note that finalized menus may be impacted by supply chain disruptions and product availability.
- Water stations in high traffic break areas on the Schwartz Common will replace bottled water.
- Eliminate check-in packets by providing on demand check-in and use app in lieu of program books to significantly reduce paper waste.
- Gift guests a reusable tote and water bottle.
More general information can be found in Harvard's Sustainable Event Guide and Healthful Food Standards.
- Where can I learn more about the School’s commitment to sustainability?
-
More information can be found on the HBS Commitment to Sustainability webpage.
- Health & Safety
-
- Due to COVID-19, what are the health and safety requirements for reunion?
-
The Harvard Business School community is highly vaccinated. All visitors and guests coming to campus are encouraged to be up-to-date on their vaccinations and boosters. We ask that visitors and guests do not come to campus if they are sick, have been asked to quarantine or isolate, or have tested positive within the past 5 days. International travelers should be aware of vaccination, testing, quarantine, and re-entry restrictions for their return destination and any transition locations.
Please note that Harvard Business School and Harvard University Health Services are not able to provide monitored antigen or ad hoc PCR tests.
Any individual in our community can always choose to wear a mask and should never feel obliged to explain the reasons for their decision.
- What should I do if I test positive after attending reunion activities?
-
If you test positive after attending your reunion, we suggest following the CDC's recommended isolation protocols and informing your close contacts. Harvard Business School is not performing contact tracing.
Close Contacts
Think back to your infectious period: This is considered the 48 hours prior to your positive test date. A close contact is someone who was within 6 feet of you indoors for 15 minutes or more during a 24-hour period. If they don’t meet all these criteria, they are not considered a close contact and you do not need to notify them.
Ways To Stay Informed
- alumni@hbs.edu—Add this address to your email contacts to ensure receipt of communications.
- alumni.hbs.edu/profile—Verify that your contact information and email subscriptions are correct and share personal and professional information with HBS community members.
