The Startup Rules of Three
Jeff Wald (MBA 2002), president and cofounder, WorkMarket

Webinar Slide Deck

Watch Video

Do you have a brilliant idea for a startup? Becoming a successful entrepreneur requires more than just an inspiring concept and a plan for development. There is a reason as many as 75 percent of venture capital-backed startups fail, and nearly 95 percent of all start-ups fail. Join Jeff Wald (MBA 2002), president and cofounder of WorkMarket, as he discusses the lessons learned during his time as a startup founder, a venture capitalist, and an active angel investor/adviser.

A seasoned entrepreneur who has built and sold multiple tech companies, Wald will delve into lessons learned from his successes (and failures), and share valuable tactical insights into:

  • the essential traits all entrepreneurs must have before embarking on a life-changing business venture,
  • how to secure investors throughout the journey, and find your true north in successful market disruption, and
  • the biggest mistakes and best pieces of advice he received during his founder journey.
