Kristin Brennan
Kristin (Duke ’03) applies her background as a management consultant, nonprofit Chief Talent Officer and negotiation strategist to her work helping students and alumni chart a course for their career and take the practical steps to achieve it. Kristin currently serves as the Executive Director for Career Exploration and Development at Bowdoin College in Maine, after 20 years of working in the social sector in the Boston area. Just prior to her current role, Kristin developed leadership programming for mid-career students in the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s cross-disciplinary Doctor of Education Leadership program; she also managed the program’s relationships with leading educational nonprofits, districts and state agencies.
Kristin has a particularly developed vantage point on what leading
organizations in the social sector look for in mid- and senior-level
candidates, and moving across the boundaries of strategy consulting or
professional services roles v. operating roles with direct line authority.
