The new alumni website is a significant advance on the previous version,
with many new bells and whistles. We'd like to take an opportunity to explain some of them.

Your Profile

To get the most out of the new HBS alumni website, you need a complete profile in the Directory. That's because your interests, location, class year, and other elements automatically determine the personalized content, information, and networks you see. Mouse over numbers 1-4 for more details.

Edit Your Profile

The Edit Your Profile link takes you to the profile entry form, which is divided into sections: Personal, Professional, Education, Volunteering, and Preferences. Click on each tab and be as complete as possible in making your updates and selections. In particular, be sure to choose your Industry under the Professional tab and your Interests under the Preferences tab, because these are primary drivers of the site's personalization features, both for content and for making connections to other alumni who have things in common with you.
Your Photo

You may add a photo to your profile in the Personal tab of Edit Profile. Follow the simple instructions to upload an image. Or if you're coming back to campus for reunion soon, stop by the booth near Registration to have your photo taken and uploaded by our staff.
Share a Note or Photo

Do you have news or a photo to share with your friends and classmates right now? Use the Share a Note tool right here or on the main Community page. These photos and updates will be shared with the alumni community on the Community page and will display below under Notes. You can also send them to your class secretary from here for inclusion in Class Notes in the Alumni Bulletin.
Is Your Profile Complete?

This tool lets you know when your profile is complete. To have a 100% complete profile, you'll need to fill out each of the required fields in the profile form and add at least one person to your network. And, because keeping your profile up to date is important, we'll give you gentle reminders from time to time, like the one directly under your welcome message.
