Centennial Exhibit Marks Milestone in Human Relations Movement

"The Human Relations Movement: Harvard Business School and the Hawthorne Experiments, 1924-1933," is the first in a series of Baker Library exhibitions marking the centennial of HBS. Learn about the landmark study conducted by HBS professor Elton Mayo that helped establish the relationship between productivity and employee motivation. Baker's collection of photographs, interviews, and correspondence are on exhibit from September 17, 2007, through January 17, 2008.

But when the targeted firm isn't sold, he says there is typically little change in financial results or stock price.
