Four Receive 2006 Alumni Achievement Awards

The HBS Alumni Achievement Award is the School's highest honor, presented annually to alumni in recognition of their contributions to business and society. The 2006 recipients are Sir Ronald M. Cohen (MBA '69), William H. Donaldson (MBA '58), Ann S. Moore (MBA '78), and Philip L. Yeo (MBA '76). HBS Dedicates Wyss House, Home for Doctoral Programs

HBS has officially opened a newly renovated home for its doctoral program. Sherman Hall has been renamed Wyss House in honor of Hansjoerg Wyss (MBA '65) whose $25 million gift has endowed the program which trains the teachers and researchers of tomorrow. MBA Class of 2008 Builds Teams for Learning

Launched last year, the learning team initiative is designed to help students benefit from the diversity in the MBA class, develop team skills, and start-up and energize RC study groups. This year, learning teams experienced their first team-building activities during orientation. The MBA Program partnered with Outward Bound Professional to offer the day-long program. Alumni Travel: India—Past, Present, and Future

February 10–24, 2007: Explore the rich history and vibrant culture of India with fellow HBS alumni and friends on this two-week tour. History will come to life on excursions to the temples at Mamallapuram, the palaces of the Meherangarh Fort, the ancient Jantar Mantar observatory in Jaipur, and the Taj Mahal. Look into the future of Indian business with Ajay Mookerjee (DBA '88), Executive Director of HBS's India Research Center, and meet local alumni. Visit the spectacular National Museum in Delhi, stroll through the lush Mandore Gardens, and enjoy high tea at the royal Rambagh Polo Grounds while watching an elephant polo match!

The Case for Corporate Social Responsibility

Join Professor Herman B. "Dutch" Leonard and a panel of practitioners from The Home Depot, National Grid, Nike, and Staples for a discussion of critical issues and emerging trends in corporate social responsibility. This event takes place Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 6pm in Spangler Auditorium on the HBS campus and is co-sponsored by the HBS Social Enterprise Initiative and the Harvard Business School Association of Boston.
