Dean Light Looks Back, and Ahead

Dean Jay Light made his final appearance before the alumni at last week's Spring Reunions, sitting down with Senior Associate Dean Bill Sahlman and newly appointed Dean Nitin Nohria to reflect on his tenure. The conversation also included his thoughts on the future of HBS and of business education in general.

100th Commencement

HBS's 100th graduating class included 901 MBAs and 6 DBAs. Eight students were recognized as Dean's Award winners for service to the School and society.

A Memorable Reunion

Spring Reunions just concluded, and what a great weekend it was! More than 3,000 alumni and guests returned to campus from all around the world to attend some 50 faculty presentations, dozens of section parties, and many gala events. If you're in the Class of '50, '65, '70, '75, '80, or '85, don't wait to register for your reunions, coming up this fall.

Fellowship Deadline Reminder

Attention recent grads! HBS offers a $25,000 fellowship to support social entrepreneurs preparing to launch their own ventures. To apply for this year's fellowship, submit a complete application, resume, and business plan for your venture by June 15.

Building the Next Generation Social Enterprise Alumni Network

This summer the Social Enterprise Alumni Association will begin shaping its priorities for phase two of its growth. Under new leadership, the Club looks forward to recruiting a new senior team that will play an active role in developing its upcoming agenda.

Strengthening Ties with China

The new Harvard Center Shanghai, located in the booming Pudong District, recently hosted 300 alumni and friends for its first research symposium, "Harvard and China." Synopses are now online.
