Join HBS alumni and friends on an enchanting 11-day tour of India, and discover the wonders of one of the oldest and most diverse civilizations in the world as you visit awe-inspiring monuments, explore bustling cities, and get lost in local villages and markets.
- Begin in Delhi, among the oldest cities in the world. Old Delhi offers historic monuments and markets to explore. New Delhi, now the capital of India, is a fast-paced, cosmopolitan metropolis that offers tribute to India's rich past, as well as modern architecture and sites of political importance.
- From Delhi, travel a world away on a short flight and drive to the annual Pushkar Camel Fair. Watch the desert come alive as traders and visitors descend upon one of India's largest fairs. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of dancing, music, camel races and auctions, cultural events, and dips into the holy lake.
- Continue to royal city of Jaipur, often called "the Pink City" for the pinkish tint on the city's stone buildings. Discover historic sites like the seventeenth century Amber Fort, a distinguished example of Rajput architecture.
- End your journey in Agra and marvel at two of India's most famous architectural jewels, the Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world completed in 1648 by Emperor Shah Jehan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
Throughout your trip, embrace the magnificence of India's geography from rolling, lush hills to arid, far-stretching desert. Observe the inspiring mix of Indian, Muslim, Persian, and European cultures represented in historic man-made monuments, and the country's dedication to radiant architecture, design, artistry, and spirituality.
