Harvard Business School is pleased to invite all doctoral alumni from HBS and from joint GSAS & HBS programs to return to campus for a Doctoral Reunion Weekend from Thursday, May 28 through Sunday, May 31, 2009. Re-experience all the School has to offer with two full days of presentations by HBS and select Harvard University faculty. The reunion program also includes two exclusive sessions on Saturday for doctoral alumni and their guests —a case discussion on the "Future of MBA Education" and a panel discussion on "Globalization & State of the Economy," facilitated by Professor Joseph L. Bower, Baker Foundation Professor of Business Administration. Don't miss this chance to celebrate, to see old friends and to meet new ones.

Registration Info
The Doctoral Reunion registration fee is $395.
Registration prices are PER PERSON.You are welcome to bring your spouse or partner, or a guest. They will be included in all reunion weekend activities.
Children are not required to register for the reunion weekend, but must register in advance for certain children's activities. Please see the Family Programs page for additional children's programming.

The School is pleased to host Faculty Presentations on Friday and Academic Programs on Saturday, as well as all campus meals served during the day on both days. Additionally, HBS will provide transportation to and from the DoubleTree Guest Suites and the School.
Doctoral alumni will be joined on campus by MBA alumni with 5th, 10th, 20th and 50th class reunions. All reunioning alumni will be present for general programming and on-campus events.

Reservations: To take advantage of the special negotiated rates, please book by using the link above or by calling the hotel directly. Remember to identify yourself as a member of the HBS Doctoral Reunion. Reservations must be guaranteed by credit card or personal check.
Cut-off date: Space at the hotel is guaranteed until May 4, 2009 or when the block of rooms is full, whichever occurs first. You are encouraged to make your reservations as soon as possible to secure a room. Rooms in the block will fill quickly. Once the block of rooms has filled, we will be unable to guarantee additional rooms at the special rate. Transportation: HBS will provide you with transportation between the DoubleTree Guest Suites and the School.

Event Descriptions
Please see the Tentative Reunion Schedule below for anticipated timing of each day's events.
Thursday Night Reception: A welcome reception will be hosted for all returning doctoral alumni at the DoubleTree Guest Suites, Longfellow Ballroom, from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Light hors d'oeuvres and cocktails will be served. Guests and children are welcome! Also welcome are faculty, emeritus faculty, and doctoral students!
Friday Faculty Presentations (HBS Campus): The day begins with a State of the School address by Dean Jay O. Light. Faculty presentations follow, taking place in Aldrich classrooms at the School. Current faculty and their research will be featured in each of three programming sessions. All reunioning alumni and their guests have the opportunity to attend these sessions; seating is first come, first served.
Children are welcome during the day as there will be a variety of activities on campus for them to enjoy. Breakfast and lunch will be served and round-trip transportation will be provided in the morning and afternoon from host hotels.
Friday Night Class Party: Class parties will take place at four Boston area residences. Transportation will be provided to/from the DoubleTree Guest Suites and party locations. Doctoral alumni will be invited by clustered graduating classes. See class party details below for host, party location, and timing. This is the only part of the weekend just for your class! Typically a light dinner and drinks will be served. Contact your party host for details, and to determine if the evening is appropriate for children. Guests are invited to this event!
Saturday Academic Programs (HBS Campus): Two programming sessions will take place in Aldrich classrooms at the School. These sessions will run during the first part of the day and will feature guest speakers from the Harvard Community. All returning alumni and their guests have the opportunity to attend; seating is first come, first served.
Case on the "Future of MBA Education": This case is offered for doctoral alumni and their guests only.
Panel on "Globalization & State of the Economy": This panel will be facilitiated by Professor Joseph L. Bower, Baker Foundation Professor of Business Administration, and comprised of HBS doctoral alumni. This special event is open to doctoral alumni and their guests only.
Children are welcome:
There will be a variety of supervised activities on- and off-campus for children to enjoy. Breakfast and lunch will be served and round-trip transportation will be provided in the morning and afternoon from host hotels.Saturday Night Reception & Dinner: This special doctoral event will be held in the Williams Room of Spangler Hall. Drinks will be served, followed by a seated dinner. Following dinner, Mihir Desai, HBS Faculty Chair, will give an update on the Doctoral Program. Round-trip transportation will be available from the DoubleTree Guest Suites. This event is not appropriate for children. Guests are invited to this event!
Sunday Brunch: This final Doctoral Reunion Weekend event takes place in the Charles River Ballroom at the DoubleTree Guest Suites from 9 am – 11 am. Breakfast will be served. Guests and children welcome.

The HBS Coop will be open to alumni during reunion weekend.Shad Fitness Center
During the reunion, your nametag will allow you to use Shad Hall Fitness Center. Towels, lockers, and equipment are available.Call ahead to 617.495.6060 to arrange use of basketball, volleyball, badminton, squash, racquetball, and tennis courts. A fitness room, indoor track, sauna, and whirlpool are also available. The fitness area is limited to people over age 18.
Internet Access
Computers with Internet access are available in Aldrich and Hawes Hall corridors, and Spangler Center common rooms on Friday and Saturday. -
Family Childcare Programs
During the 2009 spring reunion festivities, alumni children and grandchildren are invited to participate in wonderful daytime and evening programs that are designed especially for them! There are a variety of activities: active games; arts and crafts; unique toys and imaginative play; and, for older children, a chance to take part in an HBS case discussion.
