Last Look - March 2010
Our thanks to Ron Demer (MBA ’64E), who identified his male classmates in the photo as (top) Jon Plexico (E, now deceased) and Joe Collins (B); (bottom) Bob McNitt (E) and Konrad Ulbrich (F, now deceased). Demer added that “nothing was going on; just a few students having a beer in the dorm.” But one wonders what the sign, carefully held up by Collins, was for. It reads, “Scholars under the Baker Foundation,” with the words “Non Hokum sed but Veritas” circling a shovel. If they’re not suffering a fit of existential ennui, this may be a very decorous (inside the dorm) protest of students whom the “illegitimi” have not yet “carborundum’d,” who are tired of shoveling “hokum” and have momentarily forgotten that “there’s no BS like HBS!” The woman remains unidentified.
