Fellowship recipient Shamika Lee (MBA ’08) spoke at the MBA Fellowship Dinner in mid-April, an annual event where fellowship students and donors get to know each other. “On behalf of all the students here tonight, let me say that we do not take your investment lightly,” Lee told more than 400 guests. “I am inspired and empowered by your philanthropy, and I am determined to offer a strong return on your investment,” she said, citing her future goal of launching a nonprofit arts and sports center in the Brooklyn neighborhood where she grew up. “This evening,” she added, “is about helping others reach their fullest potential.”
