Spring Reunions

A rainy weekend didn’t dampen the spirits of the 2,000 alumni and guests who returned to Soldiers Field in early June for spring reunions. The academic program drew enthusiastic crowds to hear faculty presentations on more than two dozen topics, ranging from Enron’s collapse to the thriving business in reproductive technology and adoption. Thirteen of those presentations are now available for viewing online at the HBS Video Showcase: http://video.hbs.edu/videotools/portal/reunions.

In his first address to a reunion gathering since becoming Dean, Jay Light reviewed the many changes he has seen at the School — from a more diverse student body to more technology in the classrooms — since arriving as a doctoral student in 1966. “Yet, this place at its core has remained the same,” said Light. “We have the same values, the same learning model, and the same high standards. Our philosophy is to hold on to what made the School distinctive, but to innovate and lead in a changing world.”
